Joining the LaFavre Racing Teams organization in 1999 is Mike Garvey.  Mike is a 36 year old race driver from Muskegon, Michigan.  To say that Mike Garvey is an experienced racer is a vast understatement.  Garvey began his career immediately upon leaving high school and has been involved in racing ever since as shown by his records in Busch Grand National, All-Pro, the Hooters Cups Series and the top series of short track racing in the country, ASA.  Mike will be driving LaFavre's entries in selected Busch Grand National events and the entire ASA schedule.

1999
In twenty ASA starts, Mike won four races including three in a row late in the season.  Garvey had four pole positions and led over 1200 laps during the season.  Mechanical gremlins kept Mike from winning the series championship by a wide margin.

1998
In twenty ASA starts won races at Nashville, TN and Pikes Peak in Colorado.  Finished eighth in ASA points.

1997
In 18 ASA Series starts, won races at Bradenton, FL and Odessa, MO.  One ASA Pole.

1996
Won three Hooters Cup Series races, received Hooters Pole Award and as voted "Most Popular Driver".  Finished Hooters Cup Series fourth in points.

1995
Hooters Cup Series Pole leader, 4 series wins and two All-Pro Series wins.

1994
Participated in the Busch Grand National Series.  Fastest practice times at the Daytona Speedway.

1993
All American 400 (Nashville, TN) winner.  NASCAR All Pro Series Pole season leader.  Four All-Pro Series wins.

1992
World Cup 400 (I-70 Speedway, MO) winner, Colorado National Champion.

1990
NASCAR All American Challenge Series Champion.  Fourteen wins at major races across the country.
